“Baby, you’re the main attraction,” yeah, that’s right, MONSTA X is heading to Virginia to become the main attraction.
MONSTA X is here with their 2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR [THE X : NEXUS], and the DMV made it onto the list with a stop in Virginia on October 3, 2026, at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax. The group is back on tour after a long-awaited stretch shaped in part by the members’ mandatory military service, bringing that MONSTA X energy they’ve become known for back to the stage.
However, I.M will not be joining the rest of the members for the overseas tour dates as he is currently completing his mandatory military service in South Korea.
MONSTA X is a six-member boy group consisting of Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M, making their debut in 2015 with their first mini album, TRESPASS. However, they aren’t your typical K-pop boy group. They’ve tapped into what many fans might call the louder or “noise K-pop” side of the genre, while also carrying a more mature concept throughout a lot of their music. Some of their notable releases go all the way back to tracks like “HERO,” to all-English songs like “MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT,” and other fan favorites such as “GAMBLER,” “FANTASIA,” and “Love Killa.”
MONSTA X also just released their latest EP, The Phase, on September 4, led by the title track “MAGIC.” The track blends rhythmic guitar with a strong beat, with production from Dem Jointz and Joohoney contributing to the lyrics.
If you ask me, “MAGIC” really brings out that darker, more mature side MONSTA X has become known for. It feels like a strong summary of the sound they’ve built over the years, helping distinguish exactly what MONSTA X brings to the K-pop space.
Their discography has also taken them outside of the typical K-pop space, collaborating with artists such as French Montana and Steve Aoki, and even branching into Latin pop with Colombian artist Sebastián Yatra on “Magnetic.” And if you watched The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, you may have also heard MONSTA X alongside Snoop Dogg on “How We Do.”
If there is one thing about MONSTA X, it’s that they are performers, and this might be a show you don’t want to miss. Their set can take you from their louder, hype-heavy tracks to their smoother, sexier concepts, while still showing off the vocals, rap, and performance energy that make MONSTA X, MONSTA X.
So if you’re looking for a hype night in the DMV, MONSTA X might just need to make it onto your to-do list.
