Girl K-pop group Weeekly adds their unique summer touch to this month’s releases with their 6th mini album, [Bliss], launched on July 9th.

Weeekly debuted in June 2020 with their album, “We Are,” featuring five songs that marked the beginning of their distinct sound. Among their most notable releases is the single “After School” from their 2021 album “We play,” which boasts over 201 million streams on Spotify and 166 million views on YouTube. This track remains the most popular on their Spotify account. Since their debut, Weeekly has continued to build their career through various releases and OSTs for Korean dramas such as “Strong Girl Nam-soon.”

Lee Soojin (2001) is the leader, main dancer, visual, center, and sub-vocalist and rapper. Jihan (2004) holds the lead vocalist, visual, and center roles. Monday (2002) serves as lead vocalist, main dancer, and sub-rapper. Park Soeun (2002) is the lead dancer, center, and lead vocalist. Lee Jaehee (2004) supports as sub-vocalist and sub-rapper. Zoa (2005), the youngest member, is a sub-vocalist and rapper, and visual.

“LIGHTS ON”

The album’s highlight is the title track, “LIGHTS ON,” which brings a fresh pop vibe with airy and light tones. The catchy chorus is sure to stick in listeners’ minds, getting them to move along to the summer-themed lyrics. The music video showcases the girls’ charisma and visuals, beginning on the beach and transitioning to scenes with sparkles, a yacht, and soft pink backgrounds, complementing the girl group’s vibe and concept.

The fourth track, “Classic,” stands out with its beat and energy shifts throughout the song. Finally, “Page (A Story That Reached Me)” takes an acoustic approach, closing the album with a super soft instrumental, evoking the feeling of a campfire night with friends.
